Razanac, on the coast of...

Razanac, on the coast of Velebit channel, provides some of best views on Velebit mountain. Lined up from the left are: Bobicki Kuk (1425m), Vilinski Kuk (1401m), Buljma (1420m), Ribnicka Vrata pass with snowy Golovrhe (1584m) behind. Right of the pass is Viserujna (1632m) while just bellow it is rocky Bojin Kuk (1110m). Being just opposite of mountain, Razanac is directly exposed to Bura wind which blows from Velebit. In winter its gusts reach 250km/h and whole place is in spray from the sea, which can be dense as fog. Waves can be up to 5 meters high as they hit the shore very hard. Houses are so exposed to corrosion that they have to paint facades every few years!
