Thanks for re-awakening some pleasant old memories Bryan. Many a happy day in my youth spent in the area you describe. And I still carry the scars of a fall sustained on the Birchens - not to mention the mental scars of mornings after evenings at the Robin Hood.
All the best for a full recovery and a healthful return to Snowdonia.
Very pleased to have brought some memories back for you Martin. I love that area, even though I was taking it very easy during that trip. I'll never climb, but I can't wait to go back and try out the increasing number of easy(ish) scrambles I keep stumbling upon. Best if I keep out of the Robin Hood pub though!

Re: Very nice photosThere is some very good walking in the Peak District. And quite a lot of short but nice scrambling if you know where to look for it!
