visited the summit back in !983  Sucess!

I visited the eight lakes basin as a group Backpacking trip. We definatly had taken notice of Duffy Butte and Three fingered Jack. We found Red Butte to be a great vantage point for both peaks. The forest was completly intact back then.

Great Day  Sucess!

Scrambled down the north side of Duffy Butte and weaved my way through the maze of burnt out trees to the saddle. Then went straight up through mosly open forests until I came to a more open are just below the summit. Enjoyed a snack on the summit and took in the unique views of Three Fingered Jack. Found the path down the east side and enjoyed some time at Alice Lake before heading to Mowich Lake. I hiked along the eastern shore until coming to the beaches on the south shore for some photos. Then found the Duffy Lake Trail back to where I went off trail by Duffy Lake. From there it was an easy trail hike back to the car.
