canoe is strongly advised, the hike up to the ridge is fairly steep and a bit of a slog, we were glad to have not walked the extra distance at the beginning. pleasant hike/scramble to the summit from the ridge. our vehicle did not start upon returning so we had to hike out to above turnball lake to get cell coverage. bring a booster pack folks.
