I've done this on snowshoes more often than not.
It was a beautiful hike with my four year old daughter and our little dog Stitch. She hiked the whole way up! I was a proud papa up on that summit
8/18/11 - Very pretty. I think this would be a much nicer autumn or winter climb.
10/10/11 - With Paul, Pauline and Zack. There was snow on the ground, and the leaves were still golden. Beautiful hike.
Did the hike up from Mill Creek with SP member Kadee and my son Brad. Lots of mountain bikers out today but we shared the trail with nary a bit of jealousy for their downward mobility. The flower show up high on Reynolds was outstanding. Got rained on a bit but it cleared nicely as we headed down.
Biked up Dog Lake From Big Water TH and climbed up Reynold's Peak, signed the register, hiked down, biked to the other side of Dog Lake, climbed up Little Water Peak with just enough time to make it to work.
2 - 7/1/17 3rd peak on mtb Crest to Mill D
07/16/2011 Traverse from Mt. Olympus, Beartrap Fork descent
07/02/2011 Traverse from Mt. Olympus, Mill D descent
7/16/11 - Via Wildcat Ridge / Traverse from Gobblers Knob
Done it a bunch in the winter, usually great snow. I'll have to try it in the spring/summer/fall.
From Mill D North Fork.
I bushwacked up this in the summer of 2002 from the lake, then back down to the saddle and up another highpoint before I got tired of the brush. I did this with Gary, my first alpine trad partner.
Skied this (well, I was on a splitboard) with SP user Mockba way back in the day when I was motivated to get into the backcountry for winter turns. I think we went up Butler Fork, but I don't recall exactly. The ride off the summit was excellent though.
Morning hike with Matthew Van Horn before work. What a perfect day! I have never seen the canyon so green and lush and it was incredible. We made it up and back in about 2:20 with a nice break on top. The best part was reading the ongoing dialogue between the guy that placed the register and some folks that were not happy about it. Good times. Made it to work by 8:30 AM.
Lapped the north side, coming from butler. Great view from the peak. Highly recommended
I one counts lapping it on skis, I've probably done the peak 500 times!
Went up from Mill D North and straight down to the car.
Ski toured up this with Mike M after a few days without snow. Descent was awesome, hucked some smallish cliffs on the way back down to BCC
but a winter ascent is definatly in order.
spent the night at Dog Lake, that's always nice.
Update: have since skied off this once or twice.
Nice short hike for a Saturday afternoon, had to break trail thru snow from Dog Lake. Decended down the East Ridge.
Great views of the Cottonwood Ridge, the girl I was coming up with stepped on something and a bunch of bugs stung her face, at first I thought she was overreacting, there were some little pokes, but then the next day her face was all swollen and she couldn't see out of her left eye. Nice hike though.
Again Feb. 08, fun snowshoe more fun going down the south ridge until my snowshoe broke 100 yards from the car.
