The best route of the basque country
I like a lot this ridge.
From Alluitz summit the "Paso del Diablo look scary, but is not so much. More easy that I thing.
Wr begin in Atxarte, not in Urkiola

Finally done!!
After some years wanting to walk this classic traverse of the Basque mountaineering, finally I successfully did it! One hour and 50 minutes from Urkiola sanctuary till the top of Anboto (scrambled from Zabalandi saddle). From there 2 hours 45 minutes more to walk and scramble the whole ridge. Very nice walk. Probably one of the best of Basque mountaineering. Paso del Diablo (Infernokozubi) was not specially difficult. I found many other more dangerous points through the traverse (grassy slopes with loose stones and without holds, for example). Therefore, the traverse can be very tricky when iced, snowed or wet...
It is worth to try it!
