Lake George New York
The route is Rogers
It is nice isn't it? All the boats pull up to watch you. Bolted

Re: Cool shot

Not sure of the angle. Not 90 deg as you correctly note. Very little to hold onto. A friction smear exercise. With only two of us, the photos are actually in the easier places since the leader has to take me off belay while taking the shot.

Re: Cool shot

Thank you! The color of the deep water there really sets it off. Our approach was in a canoe.

Rating?

What is the rating on this climb? Is there an SP page for it?

Re: Rating?

I will be at Rogers Rock for the first time this summer. I will try to put up some stuff. From what I hear, it is awesome!

Re: Rating?

Have a nice time! It's all friction. Pitch after pitch with no good hold, just a steady smear from your hands and feet. A cold swim from the boat after to wash off.

Rating

I'm not rated for anything above a 5.8. So it would be about 5.7 - .8 There's no SP Page that I can find. In fact, I didn't see much on the Adirondacks or I'd post more shots. I don't know enough to write the pages myself and the people who know, don't want to advertise their routes.

You must have mastered...

the art of Yogic flying! I see two splayed hands, and as there's so little to hold onto, what's there to stand on! I'm off to practice more of the technique!

Fab shot too.

Shoes

Can't forget the friction of the shoes! When I first got them, I felt like the human fly!
