When is the west access to Rollins Pass "typically" open?
I believe somewhere around late June (or possibly early July in heavy snow years).
The east?
I don't know, but I do know you can't drive all the way to the pass from the East. I've never been to the east side of the Indian Peaks, and probably wouldn't anytime soon. Since I am living on and have worked on the west side of the divide, it has never seen advantagous to drive to the east, especially since it's more crowded on that side and you have to do a road walk to get to Rollins Pass. It would only be an advantage if coming from Boulder or Denver, so I haven't been. I have seen a TR from late June of last year, and you might be able to get to the tunnel well before then?
