Rough Hawkbit

Rough Hawkbit

Rough Hawkbit (Leontodon hispidus) is a common perennial in the meadows of the Low Beskid. It blooms from June to September. The yellow flowers open during the day and close for the night. They are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by insects. Rough Hawkbit's roasted root can be used as a coffee substitute.
