Southern Yosemite Rock Climbs, by Mark & Shirley Spencer ('88, ISBN 0-9620158-0-6) puts this route at 5.5 (& offers a good topo of the route). I would personally agree with this assessment. It also lists an eye-bolt being present at the first 'belay' after the flake (I don't recall whether I saw one or not). A very enjoyable climb.
