Ruby Mountain from a lake at 12,200'. Visible are a few of the routes on the peak, which will be detailed in other photos and on the mountain page itself. Most notable here is the notch a bit right of center; a steep Class 2 scree slope leads up to this 12,838' notch that connects Ruby to Grays Peak. From the notch, a faint goat trail leads to the mountain's false summit, from which it is an easy walk to the real summit.
