Your report brings back a ton of great memories. I was there in 2013, and it was like nothing I've ever seen or done before; simply my best mountain trip ever! I really should write something about it, but fear that no words can do justice to how utterly otherworldly and beautiful the place is. Yet, your interesting report shows it is worth a try. Thanks!
The service, porter and guide conditions have greatly improved, over the years professionalism has greatly improved with better equipment, personal gear, improved huts, solar lighting and good food.
The number of service providers has also increased which gives a chance for a better service.
