From the south  Sucess!

As we were not very well acclimatized, we were real slow going up. Once we were more or less on the summit, it turned out to be sort of a plateau with lots of peaks, so we spent quite a lot of time trying to find the true summit.

Route Climbed: Southern, from Harmantepe Village Date Climbed: June 12/13, 2005  Sucess!

We have started from Harmantepe (2100 m) and made a camp in about 2900 m. Next day we reach the summit (Southern Peak) after about 6 hours. It is not difficult, but over 3300-3500 m it is much snow in June there. We made pictures and film on the way also, in other conditions you can reach the summit faster. Walking poles and wind protection are reccomended.

It was long route to find the summit- I spend almost 4 hours looking for it with GPS.

I climbed alone.
