Saddle Point Trail Re-route

The trail now comes down from the closer ridge point on the right side of the photo and crosses the open, white rock area. Look close and its visible. From the other side of the point, the old trail comes down the left ridge to the saddle and meets the new trail. Then the trail contours around to the ridge on the left before dropping off into the Lakes Basin. The new trail is better, but if you find yourself coming down the ridge, its no big deal. Its not as easy but works fine. July 2009
