Salt Creek Falls

Salt Creek Falls

I have been experimenting with different shutter speeds in shooting waterfalls. Long exposures seem to be in vogue these days but I prefer a more natural look. With a waterfall the height of Salt Creek falls--286 feet--and a relatively fast shutter speed for waterfalls (1/50) the water is a blur by the time it reaches the bottom whether I like it or not.

Beautiful Shot

I think it is prefect they way you got it here. I agree with you about the more natural look. The smokey, slow shutter effect is kind of neat, but it tends to be done all the time. Nice natural framing too! Thanks for sharing!

Re: Beautiful Shot

Thanks. The wonders of digital photography--I took 13 exposures to get two keepers.
