nice

recently discovered Lower and Middle Saranac lakes on a 2 day kayak trip. We camped on an island all to ourselves in Middle Saranac - a really sweet spot!

Lucky you! I think islands are one of those unique things canoeists and kayakers have over climbers (just kidding!)!

I had a similar experience in the St. Croix River on a island separating the US and Canada; we played Capture the Flag for hours!
