Route Climbed: Buchanan Pass Date Climbed: September 2003  Sucess!

My friend Pete and I had been turned away from Sawtooth twice by weather (both attempts were on the East Face in the winter) before we finally summited with my wife Erin. The day we got it the weather again was not too nice. It was cold and raining and none of us had brought our winter gear so we were all soaked to the bone by the time we got back to the car. It was good to finally bag it though.

Route Climbed: East ridge to the East Face Date Climbed: 5-29-2002  Sucess!

My second hike in the IPW. The Sawtooth is such a prominent peak to look at. I'll never forget the first day I saw this one from the Peak to Peak hwy. I knew I would soon climb it. The east ridge is the way to do this hike. Easy class 3 if that. The east face is a bit loose so be careful. The grassy basin on south of Sawtooth next to Coney Island is another one of those special places.
