I have adopted the Scafell Pike page and have made many improvements.
Very nice page - makes you want to go there now.
it´s well worth the visit, just "over the road" for you!
When are ya gonna post Skiddaw?????
Thanks! And good idea!
again yes it is. I miss it. I´ve taken the page over and I´ll have to dig out a few old slides of the area.
a little bit. But the Lake District has a character all of it´s own. It has many landscape variations all crammed into a relatively small area. There is also some damned fine rock climbing in the Lakes, again it´s one of those seminal places for British rock climbing. I´m visiting a friend near there in a few weeks! :o))
thanks for the vote. And yes it is a super "little" mountain, steeped in history and good rock climbs.
what can I write Brian, but great page!!!
Thanks Charles, hope I've done it justice. Look forward to those photos of yours. Next trip of mine over to the Pike will probably be in latr Feb
How can you manage to be so prolific and good? apologise for previous comments. comes from not looking at the detail properly
Beautiful scenery and hills
Thanks for your vote meg, hope you will get to the highest mountain in England soon. My own daughter did it first when she was 9.
You must have one strong, fit and adventourous daughter!
