Seward-Yellow ridge

The first two humps encountered on the ridge from Redgap Pass/Seward Mountain to Yellow Mountain are on the left. Seward Mountain rises on the right. The route follows the ridge towards the smaller red peak to the left, and traverses across the north face (in shadow). From here, it's best to cross over the ridge and work downhill to the north to avoid the nasty cliffs visible on the smaller black hump in the foreground. You are better off simply detouring on easier terrain around the east (left) side of this outcropping. Photograph by Josh Olson August 4, 2012
