Dog Owners - Extreme CautionShepherds usually employ Great Pyrenees to protect the sheep. These are large, powerful dogs that take seriously their job of protecting the flock.
A few years ago, a Denverite's pit bull was disemboweled by herding dogs near Vail. Absolutely, positively, dog owners who encounter a flock of domestic sheep should leash their dog and get as far away from the herd as possible.

Re: Dog Owners - Extreme CautionThanks Sarah, this herd was luckily unattended, otherwise Duchess would be in a big trouble.
