I had hoped to get this one last week when I did Shingle Mill Peak, but that proved to be overly optimistic. I went back yesterday and left the snowshoes and crampons at home and felt a lot better without the extra weight. Started at the Rock Canyon TH in Provo. Followed a packed trail until about 8300'. At about 8680' I headed NE up a minor ridge to the main Cascade/E Provo Peak Ridge and then headed to the peak. The only bad part was the section from the main ridge to the saddle south of 9622. It was very steep in parts and the snow was unconsolidated and sugary. It took forever to get back up. 4:54 to the peak and 8:36 RT. 5600' of elevation gain RT. 11.82 miles RT.
