Nice pixMiami University got the big Jackman/Schraff book on Steens back in '67 I recall thumbing thru it as an apprentice librarian.

Re: Nice pixThis area of Oregon (SE corner) has some amazing stuff that most people are not really aware of (my impression). Some of it (like Steens) is very alpine.......yes, there's a road to the top of Steens and a radio tower at the summit, but the hike/climb itself is beautiful esp. early season when you have some snow lingering! Thanks for the vote.
