Shirley leading pitch 2 of West Face Variation's "direct" variation (5.8, 2-pitch line to Bohn Street). Photo shows the crux dihedral. Summit of Monkey Face is towering above; West Side Cave is under the huge roof on the left; Mouth Cave is near the top on the right. See the long range view of a climber just above this dihedral (March 6, 2005).
