Shrubby Penstemon (Penstemon fruticosus serratus)

Shrubby penstemon is a widespread species in the northwest U.S., northern Rocky Mountains and adjacent Canada. The variety serratus however, is limited to the mountains and canyons above the Snake and Salmon Rivers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Photo from Bentz Ridge, Idaho. June 2004
