What a great picture of the Sierra's... Maybe some day i'll get out there with at least a day permit..you know I waited until my day off to hike in the snow and slush on Tahquitz peak.

Nice picture!

From just north of Inyo Peak? I spent a night up there between Inyo and Keynot about 15 years ago and was rewarded with a magnificent sunset and equally great sunrise.

We were actually directly west of Keynot; had to bivy at a notch near a canyon due to white-out conditions on summit day of Keynot and Inyo. This was the next morning on our way out via the canyon (not Union Wash).
