I recently discovered this plant growing at 9,110' in Utah's Stansbury Mountains, near the southernmost shore of South Willow Lake.
It (immediately) reminded me of Skunk Cabbage, because there were vast quantities of it growing near the lake's outlet, and I had recalled Skunk Cabbage I had seen growing in the Pacific NW resembling this particular plant.
If anybody can help identify it for me, I will be deeply indebted and will promise not to misinterpret your personal observations as being too critical and having the same intense odor as a Stansbury Mountain skunk.
Thanks in advance ..
