Skunkberry blooming along the Tolcats Canyon Trail

Skunkberry (Rhus trilobata) is a non-toxic cousin of well-known poison oaks and ivies. Best known for its pungent smell of crushed three-lobed leaves, and for its citric acid coated "lemonade" berries, it is also the earliest brush to bloom in early Wasatch spring. 4/20/08
