Snow Shoeing, Jackson Lake

Snow Shoeing, Jackson Lake

Deep snow around Jackson Lake. Although we used snow-shoes, we moved very slowly.... We opted to take our chances on the ice instead (which held just fine). December, 2006.

Very Nice!

Looks like a fun day. Amazing shot! I only saw the Tetons in the summer, they probably look way better in the winter

Thanks!

Woodzy, Thanks man! Yea, The Tetons in Winter is certainly a sight to behold. There was roughly three feet of snow on the ground and night times temperatures dipped to -25 degrees. This seems to be the norm in the winter. As a result, few people visit the park at such times. You get the spectacular scenery all to yourself!
