Snowbound...

I was concerned, if I took my 60+ pound backpack onto the snow and/or glacier, that I might create a very unsafe situation for myself. This is the last picture of my ascent. After this photo was taken, I hid my stuff and continued to higher elevations. However, even without my heavy backpack, I still encountered near-misses with sinking snow and crevass-like situations. Eventually, too concerned about unknowns, I turned back.
