Snowy Chinese Wall

Snowy Chinese Wall

A minor Chinese Wall a type of recumbent dune often found along ridglines and formed by downdrafts from the Sangres building up dunes counter to the prevailing winds from the west. The prevailing westerly winds should be apparent by the blowing sand. It was a very windy day. January 2006. Jon Bradford
