snowy goat trail
Looking back up the first section of goat trail on the way towards Red Gap Pass. If we had tried this route any earlier in the year, the snowfield may have caused some serious issues. You cannot tell from this photo, but there was ample space to maneuver on dry rock right of the snow (hiker's left).
