Went to the lookout site (sweet views)and then up to the summit (not so great views). When I was on top, I heard another vehicle in the area. When I drove out, down at the Foss River, the gate was locked, with me inside. What timing...I knew it must have been the Ranger doing a final sweep before shutting the gate for the winter. After waiting for 30 minutes, he came down and let me out.
Rarely do mountains remind me of people. This one, however did. Third of four "summits" of the day.
I was hoping some remnants remained from the original lookout, but none do. The communications tower, although tempting to climb up, is private property and I respected that.
Good views from various spots along the mountain, worth the drive to see.
