I needed a short, pleasant walk close to home and Soldier Mountain was perfect. I saw not a soul once I left Rampart Range Road. The autumn leaves were turning, the sky was bright blue, the views to the west were gorgeous. This outting was easy enough for my almost 10 year old BooDawg...he wasn't even sore afterward, just needed a nap. Partner: Solo. Dog: Bing.
