It's all trad....nothing but slinging knobs and nuts in between the plates. This route in particular was fun and protectable! The holds weren't as positive as I had hoped. Amazing moves in the lower third of this route.

What type of rock is this?Sandstone of some sort? Great shot and nice lead,

Re: What type of rock is this?It's good ol' fashion Sierra granite. This formation is featured with chickenheads and patina plates. This enable the cliber to take on a more traditional approach to climbing such a place (ie slinging chickenheads and nut placements in between patina plates). An amazing place!

Re: What type of rock is this?It would be great if you ever made it out here. There are several guys and gals here in Cali that would love to take you out to the "gems" (ksolem, Shortimer, boulderhound, myself, Deb, Miguel Forjan)....just to name a few.
