The rocks in that shot

are amazing. Almost look like petrified eggs or something.

Thanks Tim. I see what you mean. Actually all of the rock formations in the Alabama Hills are pretty interesting. Movie Flat is about a mile below to the north. That's where all those Hollywood movies were made, John Wayne, Gary Cooper etc. with the high Sierra as the backdrop.
