A fine trail  Sucess!

It was a long slog to Charleston Peak, but it would've been even worse were it not for the decent grade and adequate switchbacks on this trail. After my experience on Wheeler last year, I counted myself lucky there was little wind...

Going up  Sucess!

We used this trail to go up to Griffith Peak on our way to Charleston Peak. Nice graded, shady trail.

A Simple Snowshoe

Although the summit of Charleston appears as if the snow has lessened, the South Loop Trail has plenty above 10,000 feet. We tried to get to the junction using only snowshoes, but it became quite tedious and tiring to break trail with a bit of powder and depth. If you want to summit Charleston Peak this month, you best use the North Loop Trail.
