summer on the south ridge
enjoyed this fun route with my friends Kevin and Nate. This was a special climb because it was also my completion of the "oregon high" mountains. Cool exposure on the summit.
Also, the recent B&B fire made for more views, but lots of black.
climbed this with my dog, but left her at the crawl and she was pissed. as I sat on top I could see her make her way around the peak, searching for a way up. got down before she tried something foolish.

Is there any other route? The scree slog was the only neg. The "crawl" was hardly a crawl but there is a couple of tricky 5.0 moves. We fixed a line and prussiked to the summit block. We did the same thing for the summit block chimney. The chimney had lots of great holds...it was just like being at the gym...
