South Side Route. Proceed...
South Side Route. Proceed along the east (climber's right) of the Palmer Snowfield to about point A (8500'). You can make out the faint bootpath to point B (9500') and continuing on between Crater Rock and the Devil's Kitchen (point C). You gain the Hogsback at point D (about 10,500') and continue up around the Bergshrund, through the Pearly Gates to the Summit. (May 28, 2003)
