Nez Perce

Hi Marc, the South Teton is on the far left side of the photo. Nez Perce is in the center and the Middle Teton is on the right. The South Teton and Nez Perce are connected by the same ridgeline. The points in between them include Ice Cream Cone, Gilkey Tower, Spalding Peak and Cloudveil Dome.

Just wanted to mention, Nez Perce is known by the nickname of Howling Dog, especially when viewed from the northeast. And it is sometimes called Mitten Mountain and you can see why from your photo.

Re: Nez Perce

Thank you so much for the correction and the identification of the all of those peaks on that ridge line. I especially liked the reference made to "Ice Cream Cone" and "Howling Dog." But, the reference to "Mitten" takes the cake. I think the pioneers to this area, or was it the more recent pioneers, had a pretty vivid sense of imagination.
Thanks again Melinda for sharing your vast knowledge with me and viewers of this photo.
