Southwest Face

Southwest Face

The southwest face of Leatherman Peak viewed from "Sawmill Pass" (9800'). Notice how rugged the west (left) ridge is, especially towards the top

Hi Dave ...

Was just wonderin' if this peak was named after the same person who invented the "Leatherman" knife with all the fancy gadgets on it. Incredible shot ... I LOVE mountains & peaks with a PYRAMID shape!!!

A Different Leatherman

Nope Larry, turns out that was a different Leatherman. Its a really cool peak, this kinda dim photo hardly does it justice. Cheers, Dave

Re: A Different Leatherman

Thanks for the 'time line' on the Leatherman. I didn't know it received attention on "X-Files." Awesome. Take care!
