Beautifull Route!!!
Although we were unsuccessfull in summiting, it was a great trip and invaluable learning experience. No matter how "easy" a 14er is considered, winter never fails to turn the tables and reduce us all to mere mortals. There are a few sketchy spots as far as Avy danger is concerned, but once topped out on the ridge, it's smooth sailing (unless the weather is closing in all around you!)

Wet feet and solitude...
Solitude? You ain't kidding! The first people I saw on this route were the 50 or so I found on the summit when I arrived there! Beautiful route! Chihuahua Gulch is something to see! I definitely recommend it, especially if you want to avoid the crowds (200 or so I saw...) up the normal route on a weekend.
