Re: yikesNo I took him to a vet who put him under to pull them out. There were 60 some quills in him, some inside his mouth and others up his nostrils. It was worth the $80 to pay the vet and spare the dog the pain and me the trouble of removing them. He was pretty calm, but he was also hurting a bit. He was pretty subdued, which was not his nature and kept looking at me as if to say, "aren't you going to help me here?"

Ouch!That is not a pleasant sight! I’m surprised that some sort of animal Geneva Convention hasn’t outlawed barbed porcupine quills.
