Spirit Lake

This amazing view of Spirit Lake, right next to Mt. St. Helens, looks very different at different times of day. When I took this picture, it was a little bit past noon. This caused all of the dead trees in the lake, blasted there by the volcano's 1980 eruption, to reflect the sunlight in a way that shows how well the lake fits its name.
