Spring-Parsley - the 1st spring flower of the Wasatch

Cymopterus longipes is a very low plant, despite a species names which implies "long stems" (the stems do become longer but only after the bloom is over). You would have passed its modest yellow bloom unnoticed later in spring, but it is the first wild flower starting the season out here! 3/18/09 on sunset, with Olympus for the distant backdrop
