St. Peters Dome

St. Peters Dome

East face of St. Peters Dome as viewed from nearby Katanai Rock in winter of 2008. This GREAT photo was taken by Tim Olson (all copyrights belong to him) who also generously agreed to let me post it here (thank you very much!). Also, thanks to Wayne for putting me in touch with Tim. The line we did follows the left hand side profile of the formation through the steep lower bands. For sense of scale, the trees you see are full size - we're talking trunks that I cannot encircle with my arms.

Radek ..

You should also feel pleased and happy
to know that it's overcast and raining
in Arizona right now. Guess another cold
front came down from Utah, and they got
hit with more snow. At least the drainage
systems in Oregon seem to be efficient.
I'm wonderin' if the entire state of UT
will be underwater when that snow begins
to melt. (Well, a few spires near Moab
might remain above water!) TAKE CARE !!

P.S. - How's Blondie doin'? Is she doin'?

Re: Radek ..

Hi Larry,
I heard about the bad weather moving in this week throughout the SW. Sorry to hear you guys are getting drenched - I'm sure it'll be short lived & sunshine will be back soon.
Blondie's a 100% (as far as we can tell anyway as she's a girl of few words ;)
Thanks for good word & you also take care.
