Standing on what I believe is...
Standing on what I believe is "the" highest piece of rock in the continental US. Ideal September day on the summit. Wind, rain, hail, and lightening both days before and after our climb. Just under 5 hrs from the portal to the summit. September 5, 2003. Exactly 73 years to the day of the completion of the Mt. Whitney Trail as indicated on the summit plaque .
