These ran in front of my truck as I neared the Roaring Springs Ranch on the southern end of the Steens Mountains in SE Oregon in late March. Behind me was dreary snowcapped Beatys Butte

Nice

All we had run in front of us when we did Steens were bowhunters. You were much luckier and thanks for the nice bighorn shot, what magnificient animals.

uncommon animals

I was excited to see these, it was only the second time in my life I had run across them. I am curious how many of the big peaks in SE oregon have bighorn populations.
