Steep SW Slopes

Steep SW Slopes

The southwest slopes (standard route) of Jupiter Mountain are steep. Nearly 1200' of climbing 30 degree plus grass are required to reach the ridge. The meadows are, however, quite beautiful in early summer as they are covered in wildflowers. This image shows the upper part of the route, and give an idea of how steep the grass slopes are.
