steer's head

Steer's head - Dicentra uniflora in Millcreek Canyon, Wasatch Mts, UTAH. This distinctive but inconspicuous little flower appears soon after the snow melts in the spring. I found a few scattered under scrub oak and curl-leaf mountain mahogany on this particular day.
