Re: What a mountain!I agree. When I first saw photos of Stetind, I thought they had been altered to make it look thinner and higher than it was, but there it is.

Very strange.Looks like those funky peaks that I used to think were too fantastic to exist--the ones on Baffin Island (Thor, Asgard, Baldr, etc.)

AmazingWhat an amazing mountain! Looks like the perfect time of year for a photo...all that green makes it look unreal. Thanks!

What happened? This is a great picture of a great looking summit! I wonder, however what happened to Antonio's picture. Yesterday, when I had a look at the picture of the week, it was his Mont Blanc picture - today it's yours. Both choices are great!
I wonder if the elves were having an argument .....

The Far NorthThe moment I saw this picture I knew the mountain had to be in the far north of Norway... nowhere else have I seen such strange and wonderful peaks... next time I'm back above the Arctic circle up there I've got to do some climbing! Great photos!

Re: The Far NorthHey, if you're seriously coming up here sometime soon, let me know. I'd take you to some other great places, and would certainly be up for climbing Stetind again.

Re: Like in a fairy tale! The stories come from the land. People don't choose for places to be holy, they just recognize them for what they already are.
